2013 Travel Dispatch #14 (Great Ocean Road)

Time flies. There's been no shortage of events, activities and photo ops. What has been in short supply (read “totally absent”), is access to Wifi and therefore the internet. Hence the rather substantial gap on the blog trail.

It's been such a large gap, and we've seen so much more of Australia, that it would be quite impractical to even attempt to get all caught up in one blog posting, besides, who would have the patience to wade through so much drivel from yours truly? AND I don't have the patience or the time to put it all together at once. We are also still somewhat Wifi challenged so I'm just going to get as much done as I can between tour activities here at Uluru.

Continuing down the Great Ocean Road as we did, we went through a number of small coastal towns and had lots of great ocean views (Great Ocean Road and all that).

In a few of those small towns we had to stop to refuel – both ourselves and our vehicle. Happily, we managed to find appropriate venues for all concerned.

We were checking out a lighthouse in one small town-

-and happened upon a wedding party which had driven to the location in some great old cars to do a photo shoot for their wedding pictures. Great little bit of serendipity.

Next on the agenda was Kangaroo Island, or "KI" as the Aussies call it. I'll post something about that adventure in the near future – with any luck and some wifi availability.
